Worn & Weathered

“Even if you feel worn and weathered, you still have value and purpose.” Sometimes you may feel like you are so worn out that you just don’t have anything left to contribute—to another person, to your job, to your health, to your interests.

Even when you feel worn out, there is something to be learned. What does “worn out” mean? Do you understand what caused or triggered it? What else do you feel? When did you start feeling that way? What does “being valued” mean to you?

Once you have honestly answered those questions, take time to restore and refresh yourself. What gives you energy? What brings you joy? What self-care practices can you change or begin? What can you do right now to change the situation (even if it’s just one small thing)? What are your gifts and talents? Where do you see opportunities (existing or potential) to share your gifts and talents?

So…don’t throw your value away, instead “repurpose” yourself to create new value.
